RESEARCH HIGHLIGHT:
Have you ever wondered why some men experience sexual issues differently when alone versus with a partner? In this study, they looked at over 4,200 men with and without sexual dysfunction and found that men with issues like erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation report fewer problems during solo activities than with a partner.
I suspect this is due to the psychological stress associated with dealing with these issues and being intimate with a partner. If you find that this is happening with you it's important to mention this to your doctor so they can tailor your treatment plan accordingly.
Q&A WITH DR. MALIK:
A Question from a subscriber: “I have benign prostatic hyperplasia just like many other men but not big yet. My issue is difficult to ejaculate, Why,? because of prostat? I have no any important disease”
Answer:
I suspect this question is talking about retrograde ejaculation. Certain medications like tamsulosin or finasteride which are often used for the treatment of BPH cause ejaculate to go backwards into the bladder rather than moving out the normal way. This isn't dangerous but can be inconvenient. Learn more about retrograde ejaculate here!
