Faster Steps, Stronger Erections!

Welcome to Yourology with Dr. Malik – your weekly prescription for the latest medical updates, valuable insights, and freshest highlights straight from the frontlines of medicine!

Want a simple way to lower your risk of erectile dysfunction? Just walk faster.

This study found that men who naturally walk at a brisk pace are significantly less likely to develop ED. Even after accounting for other factors, the connection remained strong—suggesting that increasing your walking speed may directly support better sexual health.

The key takeaway? Brisk walking improves circulation, which is essential for erectile function. So, if you're looking for an easy way to boost your health (and performance), picking up the pace might be a great place to start.

This week, someone asked me “Can enlarge prostate be corrected without pharmaceutical medication”. Here’s the answer to that, to manage an enlarged prostate (BPH) without relying on pharmaceutical medications, there are several lifestyle and behavioral changes you can adopt. First and foremost, maintaining a healthy weight is crucial. Men with a BMI over 35 double their risk of developing BPH compared to those with a BMI under 25. Shedding some pounds can significantly reduce inflammation and, in turn, lower your risk. Regular physical activity is another key factor—in fact, even light exercises like walking for 20 minutes a day can reduce the risk by 30%. If you up your exercise routine to about six times a week, the risk drops by 50%. To find out more check out my full video on this topic at https://youtu.be/E_3l5CGEEU0?si=tAHxOzevift61KoP.

WHAT I’VE BEEN UP TO LATELY

I've been working hard on my upcoming book, Harder, Better, Stronger, coming out in October 2026—I can't wait for you all to read it!

HIGHLIGHTS FROM MY CHANNEL

In this episode, I tackled how personality traits might influence your performance in bed, particularly regarding premature ejaculation.

Quote: "In some cases, the way you approach life can affect your actions in the bedroom."

I explained how

  • Low novelty-seeking individuals may be less open to new experiences, potentially influencing sexual performance.

  • High harm avoidance might make someone cautious, impacting their sexual dynamics.

  • Personality profiles even differ among types of premature ejaculation.

Tune in to hear how I emphasize that addressing premature ejaculation can be empowering and beneficial for your overall well-being. My message is clear: "You are not defined by it. It is a treatable condition." Listeners have been inspired to take a closer look at how interconnected our mental, emotional, and sexual health truly are.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM MY PODCAST

I had a super insightful chat with Dr. Alexandra Sowa about the exciting new obesity medications, how they can lead to dramatic weight loss, and their impacts on relationships and overall health. Dr. Sowa shared so many valuable perspectives! She mentioned "Effective weight loss isn't just about the medications; it's also about the brain and emotional work."

Key points we covered include

  • Obesity medications can lead to significant weight loss and even change taste preferences.

  • Weight loss can boost confidence and libido but may also bring emotional challenges.

  • It's crucial to maintain muscle mass during weight loss, especially for older adults.

Listen on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or here to hear more from Dr. Sowa, including why she stresses the importance of having good support systems during weight loss journeys—plus, get tips on how to sustain long-term health.

Check out why listeners are commenting “This is an excellent podcast and very timely for me. I just started on Tirzepatide this week for treatment of obesity. I've lost weight in the past but never for the long term. I'm a big fan of Dr. Malik, and now of Dr. Sowa. She is fantastic. I will definitely read her book also.”
