Welcome to Yourology with Dr. Malik – your weekly prescription for the latest medical updates, valuable insights, and freshest highlights straight from the frontlines of medicine!
🧠 I broke down a study on men with PE—turns out round two often feels better, but not perfect.
🌶️ Someone asked about turmeric, cayenne, and ginger for erections—great spices, but don’t expect magic without addressing your health.
👩⚕️ Just launched a new course for healthcare pros who want to treat men’s sexual health and testosterone issues with confidence—check it out here.
📺 On YouTube, I shared masturbation mistakes that can mess with sensitivity—and how to keep things healthy and fun.
🎙️ I chatted with Dr. Mike Israetel on how fitness builds confidence, boosts sex, and why core strength really matters.
Can having sex again right after help with premature ejaculation? This study looked into how men with PE cope—and it turns out that more than half of them attempt multiple rounds of intercourse in a single day to try and improve satisfaction. And while they did perform better during their second attempt, their outcomes were still lower than those without PE. Interestingly, the majority of these men weren’t fans of precoital masturbation (masturbating before sex to delay ejaculation) either, citing reasons like reduced desire, concerns about erectile function, or just plain fatigue.
This is the first study comparing coping strategies between men with and without PE, and it highlights the real-world ways men try to navigate distressing symptoms. It also shows there’s no one-size-fits-all approach, just real people trying to make things work. So if you’re dealing with this, it’s worth talking to a doctor to find an approach that actually fits you.
This week, someone asked me, “Does tumeric, mixed with cayenne, black pepper and ginger have any affect on getting an erection?”. While turmeric, cayenne, black pepper, and ginger are all touted for their anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties and are part of a healthy diet, there is currently no strong scientific evidence to support that this specific combination directly improves erections or erectile function. The best data we have consistently points toward improving overall blood vessel health—think along the lines of the Mediterranean diet, regular exercise, and controlling risk factors like high blood pressure and diabetes—as the most effective ways to support erectile function. Don’t get me wrong, including these spices in your meals can contribute to a nutritious, flavorful diet, and that’s always a good thing, but I wouldn’t expect miracles in the bedroom from them alone. If erections are becoming an issue, it’s not just about one ingredient or supplement—make sure you’re looking at the big picture and get a proper evaluation, because sometimes underlying health issues can be the real reason behind changes in sexual function. Always happy to talk through the specifics with you—these concerns are so common, and you absolutely deserve clear, honest guidance.
I love hearing from you, so if there’s a question you’ve been wanting to ask, just let me know. Who knows? Your question might be the one I dive into next!
