Why are women in relationships watching porn? A recent review looked into exactly that—analyzing studies on women who use porn while in committed relationships. Turns out, the reasons are wide-ranging: to feel more sexually empowered, to boost arousal, or simply for solo pleasure. But that’s not all. Some women reported that watching porn with a partner actually helped spark conversation, improve intimacy, and add variety in bed.

Why does this matter?

Because while porn use is often seen as a male-dominated space, this study shows it can play a real role in women's sexual satisfaction and relationship dynamics—sometimes helpful, sometimes not, but definitely worth talking about.

This week, someone asked me, “Is there alternative suppliments for ED; instead of medication that gives side effects?”. While there are countless supplements marketed as “natural” solutions for erectile dysfunction, the truth is that very few have solid, consistent scientific evidence backing them, and some can even be risky or interact with other medications. Options like ashwaganda, ginseng, and yohimbine are often discussed, but research on their effectiveness is mixed at best, and they’re not without potential side effects, either. What I really encourage is a comprehensive approach—focusing on lifestyle factors like a Mediterranean-style diet, regular aerobic exercise, weight management, and good sleep. These strategies improve blood flow and hormone health, which are at the core of healthy erectile function, and they genuinely make a difference over time. If you’re considering supplements, always have an open conversation with your doctor because some may interact with heart or blood pressure medicines, or just aren’t worth the risk.

Let’s talk about the common myth that semen is packed with protein or vitamins—like, does it really have as much protein as egg white or as much vitamin C as an orange? Quote: "You're getting less than .2 grams of protein in an ejaculate."

Here are some quick takeaways:

  • Semen is about 90–95% water, with very tiny amounts of protein, sugars, vitamins, and minerals.

  • The protein and vitamin C in one ejaculate are way less than you’d find in an egg white or an orange.

  • It’s safe to ingest but doesn’t have any magical health benefits you can’t get from normal foods.

So, while it’s safe, you don’t need to add semen to your diet to be healthy! Check out the full episode for all the details.
