RESEARCH HIGHLIGHT:

In honor of world menopause day which recently passed let's talk about how we can improve the sex life of women going through menopause. A recent study involving 77 women investigated the effects of a 12-week pelvic floor muscle training (PFMT) program. While overall sexual function scores didn’t show a significant difference, the findings revealed that more women who participated in PFMT reported no sexual dysfunction compared to those who didn’t.

Why does this matter?

For postmenopausal women, This study suggests that regular pelvic floor exercises might help prevent issues in the bedroom as they undergo hormonal changes associated with menopause.

Q&A WITH DR. MALIK:

A Question from a subscriber: “What's your opinion on these penus creams that supposed to increase blood flow and enlargement of penus. also the ads on the internet of ed products is getting overwhelming, and even dr.oz and other celebrities are selling these products.

Answer:

No creams will increase the size of the penis. Please don't waste your money on this. In terms of increasing blood flow, depends on what is in the cream but rather taking medications like sildenafil or tadalafil are better ways to increase blood flow in the short term. In the long term - stick with a healthy diet and exercise regularly to keep good healthy blood vessels that carry blood to the penis.
